I came to town on June 30th, 1996. The next morning my wife and I woke up and headed straight to Loreen's Village Café on the river. It has been one of my favorite breakfast and lunch diners ever since. The service is fast, the food comes out piping hot and fabulous. It is consistent every time and I have eaten there well over 500 times. Loreen, Kim and all of the staff are outstanding. If you haven't eaten here, definitely give it a try.

Good food, good staff, good price. You can't beat that. If you are anything like me and have become very disappointed in what our country has become then this place is the place to dine. The slogans on the walls will remind you of what this country once was and can become again. God Bless America!

This placed should be named "The Right Wingers Teabag Cafe". The steak was the worst I have ever had, anywhere. Will never go back or recommend to anyone.

Omelettes served with a good ole side of xenophobia, and Fox News playing on every tv. The aggressive and poorly phrased messaging plastered on every surface of the restaurant telling anyone who doesn't speak English, believe in the christian god, or worship guns and the american flag to go back to their country was enough to turn me completely off the already sub-par food and weak coffee. The server, however, was friendly enough-- in spite of my nose ring, feminist T-shirt and unshaved armpits. My suggestion? Move along. You'll be better off eating literally anywhere else.

A bit out of our way but worth it. Real waitresses serving great corn muffins with real butter. A/C keeps up with the crowd. Fox News on the TVs. And big supporters of our military

Excellent breakfast, basic but done really well. Don't come through looking for salmon on a bagel with herb cream cheese. Veggie omelette is really tasty, fresh onion and tomato with chunks of mushrooms. Serve it up with a side of tater tots and you've got an awesome breakfast. Old school, hometown place with great people and loads of regulars. Check it out when in the Palm Bay Area.

I really loved everything about this place!! I love the décor, service and food. The fried chicken, spaghetti, garlic bread and Mr. Pibb were outstanding. They offered so many specials that it was tough to choose just one entrée. I am happy I found Loreen's here on Yelp! Thank you for supporting our Veterans. We'll be back :-)

Loreen's is your typical American diner. The prices are very affordable and they have a good selection of daily breakfast and lunch specials and drool-worthy desserts, in addition to a menu of reliable comfort food. Unfortunately, there are more negatives than positives: while the food is fine, it is often only warm instead of hot by the time it reaches the table. I don't eat there very much anymore, as I almost never get a silverware setting that isn't bent out of shape or dirty (some bit of dried, stuck-on food, especially between the fork tines), and it's a little distracting to have to listen to uncomfortably loud bickering between the cook/server emanating from the kitchen. The staff is friendly enough (if you don't mind the unsolicited "hon" and "sweetie" from women younger than you) and Loreen (while very sweet, is clearly a "seasoned" [did I say old?] biker chick with way-too-tanned leathery skin, smoke-roughened voice and damaged, over-bleached blonde hair much too long for a woman her age) often drifts among the tables, making small talk with the customers and asking after their satisfaction with their meals. They have their regulars, especially grandpa-aged former servicemen who enjoy rehashing their memories over multiple refills of coffee, bikers (obviously) and and abundance of rednecks, but when I say "typical American diner", I mean REALLY American: loud-and-proud patriotic and definitely pro-military. Let me state unequivocably that I love my country (minus its rampant political correctness) and I actively respect, appreciate and honor the deserving men and women - past, present and future - who serve it, but having the walls plastered with the flags of every military branch and pro-USA/pro-military sloganed t-shirts can be a bit suffocating. No one actually says anything, but the atmosphere is unmistakable. To put it bluntly, if English is not your first language or if you are in any way not 100% pro-USA, this is NOT the place for you.

I love small family owned restaurants! At first glance Loreen's looks like just about any restaurant held up in a strip mall. One thing that may catch your attention is the decor is has a strong patriotic theme. Perhaps not appreciated by some like Michael Moore, Karl Marx, and most Democrats. So if the flag or military service bothers you, then you will likely loose your appetite. There are a variety of French restaurants around and you can enjoy wine, cheese, and learn the word "abandonner". Most people who dine here are regulars and ,yes, elderly. The staff is friendly, even though that was the first time in there they treated me like family. I wouldn't piss them off though, they could be packing heat. The menu has sandwiches, burgers, fish, and shrimp just to name a few things. Good luck finding something not fried though. Cholesterol be damned, but it is good. They probably have discounts for public service personnel, there were many police having lunch, even if they didn't get to finish. Overall, I do not get over there often but when I do I may make it a point to stop, salute the flag, clean my gun, and have a good old fashioned fried meal.
